Skills and Training Minister Brendan O'Connor says the government understands the importance of workers and businesses having the skills that are in demand.

“And that’s why the first bill introduced by this government today was to create Jobs and Skills Australia,” he said during Question Time on Wednesday. 

“Working with employers and unions, working with state and territory governments, training providers and others, to make sure we fill the skill shortages across the labour market, across the economy.”

Talents and Coaching Minister Brendan O’Connor says the federal government understands the significance of staff and companies having the talents which might be in call for.
