Japan’s Sakurajima volcano erupts | PerthNow

A volcano on Japan’s island of Kyushu referred to as Sakurajima has erupted.

The Jap Meteorological Company (JMA) mentioned the volcano erupted at 8.05pm native time on Sunday.

There have been no speedy stories of wear, however there have been stories of volcanic stones dropping rain at a distance of two.5km from the volcano, NHK public tv mentioned.

The eruption alert degree has been raised to five, the best possible, with some spaces instructed to evacuate, NHK mentioned.

Sakurajima is considered one of Japan’s maximum energetic volcanoes and eruptions of various ranges are common. In 2019 it spewed ash 5.5km prime.
